I’ve always had a soft spot for the Saleen S7, and in my pre-teen years, I had a poster of the American-made supercar hanging above my bed. While Saleen never became a force in the supercar world, the S7 remains an imposing car two decades after its launch, and a stunning example has just hit the market. If I was a multi-millionaire, I’m not sure I’d be able to resist.
This 2005 S7 is a Twin Turbo model and the only one equipped with the 1,000 hp Competition Package. It resides in Florida and has a clean Carfax report and a clean California title. It’s also only been driven 1,100 miles (~1,770 km), further adding to its desirability.

Just like the S7 I had hanging on my wall, this one is painted in Lizstick Red, which looks superb. It sits on the original forged alloy wheels measuring 19 inches up front and 20 inches at the rear with 275/35 and 345/30 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires. As it has the Competition Package, the car includes a large carbon fiber rear wing, a new carbon front splitter, and a revised rear diffuser. There’s plenty of other eye-catching aero elements adorning the exterior of the car, too.
Powering the Saleen is a 7.0-liter V8 with an aluminum block. The listing reveals Fountain Race Engines overhauled the V8 in 2019 and fitted custom Gibtec pistons, Carrillo connecting rods, Trend wrist pins, a custom billet camshaft, and custom roller lifters. The cylinder heads were also rebuilt.
In 2022, Heffner Performance fitted new turbochargers, and injectors, and replaced the wiring harness. A MoTec engine management system is also fitted, allowing the car to run on E85 and adding a launch control function. Mated to this engine is a six-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential.
