• Spy photographers have snapped the facelifted Kia EV6 GT undergoing testing in Europe.
  • The model follows in the footsteps of the regular hatch and sports revised styling as well as an upgraded interior.
  • Kia is keeping details under wraps, but we can expect an improved battery pack and a simulated seven-speed transmission.

Kia introduced the facelifted EV6 earlier this year and now we’re getting a glimpse at the high-performance variant, which was recently spied undergoing testing in Europe.

Dressed in an extensive disguise, the electric hatch follows in the footsteps of the regular model and adopts new headlights with flowing daytime running lights. That’s where the similarities end as the GT has a unique front bumper with a distinctive lower intake.

The performance theme continues further back as we can see lightweight wheels that are backed up by a high-performance braking system with neon yellow calipers. The latter are a telltale sign this prototype is the range-topping EV6 GT.

Out back, there doesn’t appear to be any changes. However, we can expect a modified bumper and lightly revised taillights.

2025 Kia EV6 GT Promises To Raise Bar With New Battery And Upgraded Interior

While spy photographers didn’t get a look inside, there will be a new panoramic curved display that consists of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a matching 12.3-inch infotainment system. They’ll be joined by a new steering wheel, an improved wireless smartphone charger, and a center console-mounted fingerprint authentication system.

The upgrades should also extend to the powertrain as the standard model received a fourth-generation battery with a higher energy density. This increased its capacity from 77.4 kWh to 84 kWh.

It remains unclear if there will be any other powertrain improvements, but the current EV6 GT has a dual motor all-wheel drive system producing 576 hp (430 kW / 584 PS) and 545 lb-ft (738 Nm) of torque. This enables the model to rocket from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.4 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 161 mph (259 Nm). That being said, an insider recently told us the car will gain the simulated seven-speed transmission from the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N.
