• The 2026 Hyundai Palisade sports a boxier, redesigned body inspired by the Santa Fe.
  • Interior upgrades include a curved display, new steering wheel, and a modernized center console.
  • Powertrain options may include a turbocharged V6 and possibly a 4-cylinder hybrid.

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade has dropped its bulky camouflage and revealed a boxy new body. The latter echoes the redesigned Santa Fe, but things aren’t quite as edgy.

Starting up front, there’s a massive grille that has a rectangular design as well as plenty of black plastic. It’s flanked by large headlights, but those don’t appear to be the production units.

Continuing further back, we can see streamlined bodywork and rounded wheel arches. The latter stand in sharp contrast to an assortment of angular lines.

Designers gave the model a gently sloping roof, a sizable rear spoiler, and an evolutionary liftgate. They’re joined by pronounced roof rails, an upward sweeping beltline, and a reimagined C-pillar.

Spy photographers didn’t snap interior pictures this time around, but previous images have revealed an expansive curved display that is nestled in a rounded dashboard. The model will also have a new steering wheel, metallic accents, and a distinctive center console that provides easy access to an assortment of charging ports.

While the design is coming into focus, powertrain details are still pretty hazy. However, spy photographers have already got a shot underneath the hood and this confirmed the model will be offered with a turbocharged engine.

It’s rumored to be a 3.5-liter V6, which should easily eclipse the 291 hp (217 kW / 295 PS) produced by today’s naturally-aspirated 3.8-liter engine. There have also been reports about a hybrid variant with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, although nothing is official at this point.
