- Ohio Toyota dealer sells GR Corolla below MSRP, defying industry trend.
- A dealer employee says it’s been very successful by selling without market adjustments.
- Pricing like this indicates a market that’s coming back to earth after several strange years.
Few cars tick the boxes that the Toyota GR Corolla does. It’s fun, it’s practical, it’s engaging to drive, and it’s supposed to cost less than $50,000. Of course, dealers across the nation have slapped huge markups on them for years. Now, we’ve confirmed at least one case where a dealer is openly advertising the GR Corolla for under MSRP.
That dealer is Buckeye Toyota in Ohio and just the same way that greedy dealers deserve scorn and embarrassment for jacking prices up, this one deserves a little praise for selling at or below MSRP. On offer, there is an Ice Cap White 2024 GR Corolla for $46,265 after a -$803 dealer adjustment from an MSRP of $47,068.

An employee from Buckeye also posted about the car on Facebook, which is where our very own EIC John Halas saw it first. Notably, this is a Circuit trim which means that it comes standard with the hood bulge, limited-slip differentials, red-painted brake calipers, and a forged carbon fiber roof. Essentially, this is the top trim for the GR Corolla in 2024 with just about every available option.
According to the employee, Brave, his dealer is flourishing despite its refusal to stack market adjustments on its cars. “Toyota is producing more vehicles than pre covid and we have 4-8 vehicles on the lot, normally Tundras and maybe 1 or two Tacomas. It’s very rare to have anything else on the lot for more than a day or two,” he says.
Don’t take this the wrong way. This probably isn’t the most screaming deal available on a new GR Corolla but it’s certainly not a terrible deal either. That makes it a dramatic departure from so many different examples Carscoops has highlighted in recent months.
