• Hennessey has introduced the new Mammoth 400 sport truck.
  • It’s based on the 2024 Ram 1500 Laramie and features a 5.7-liter HEMI V8.
  • The truck has a host of upgrades including a lowered suspension and a sporty body kit.

Stellantis is having a hard time saying goodbye to the HEMI V8 and recently announced the Jeep Wrangler 392 Final Edition wasn’t so final. However, we doubt the Hennessey Mammoth 400 will be getting an encore.

Billed as a limited edition sport truck, the Mammoth 400 is based on the Ram 1500 Laramie and features paintwork that pays tribute to Hennessey’s early roots in the Dodge Viper community. As part of this effort, the pickup can be had in Viper Red, Viper White, or GTS Blue.

The performance-inspired styling extends beyond the paint job as the Mammoth 400 puts on a ‘track suit’ that consists of new bumpers, extended side skirts, and painted fender flares. Buyers will also find a carbon fiber splitter as well as 22-inch wheels with either a satin black or gloss black finish.

Other highlights include a Borla exhaust with carbon fiber tips. They’re joined by a RideTech lowering kit and FOX shocks. The latter promise to lower the truck’s center of gravity while also improving handling.

Despite being billed as a farewell to the HEMI V8, Hennessey said virtually nothing about it other than it displaces 5.7-liters. As a result, the engine presumably develops 395 hp (295 kW / 400 PS) and 410 lb-ft (555 Nm) of torque.

Regardless of the output, production will be limited to 250 units. There’s no word on pricing, but the Mammoth will have plenty of Hennessey badging inside and out.
