- VW has launched the 2024 Tiguan Wolfsburg Edition as a sendoff for the current model.
- It features a handful of special touches including chrome accents and unique 18-inch wheels.
- The all-new Tiguan for 2025 promises to be larger and distinct from its European counterpart.
Volkswagen is gearing up to launch the redesigned Tiguan in the United States and they’re saying farewell to the current model with a new Wolfsburg Edition.
Based on the Tiguan SE, the Wolfsburg Edition is billed as a “value-oriented” sendoff that has “unique design details and content.” Dressed in one of four colors – Atlantic Blue, Deep Black Pearl, Platinum Grey or Pure White – the crossover rides on special 18-inch wheels that feature a two-tone finish.

The upgrades don’t end there as the Wolfsburg Edition is distinguished by silver mirror caps, chrome door and bumper inserts, and a chrome “Bumperdillo” which is apparently a bumper protecting strip below the liftgate. Buyers will also find two-tone Wolfsburg badging as well as black window surrounds.
Moving inside, there’s a Titan Black leatherette interior with exclusive Snap Orange contrast stitching. Volkswagen says the latter is a “homage to the popular Habanero Orange color from the debut of the second-generation Tiguan.”
Other highlights include illuminated sill plates, a 30 color ambient lighting system, and “unique décor.” They’re joined by the usual features including a digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch infotainment system, keyless access, and a power liftgate.
A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine resides under the hood, where it produces 184 hp (137 kW / 187 PS) and 221 lb-ft (299 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Pricing starts at $30,995 and climbs to $32,495 when equipped with a 4Motion all-wheel drive system. That’s a steal as the Tiguan SE starts at $31,580 and climbs to $33,080 with all-wheel drive.
As for the redesigned Tiguan, it will arrive in time for the 2025 model year. Volkswagen isn’t saying much at this point, but it’s completely separate from the European version and appears significantly larger.
