- Ford is gearing up to introduce the facelifted Bronco Sport on August 28.
- Besides revised styling and an updated interior, the model will apparently offer a new Sasquatch Package.
- We can also expect a new 13.2-inch display as well as a downgraded EcoBoost engine.
Spy photographers have caught the facelifted Bronco Sport on multiple occasions and the model will finally celebrate its debut on August 26. More interestingly, the mysterious off-road variant that was spied last year was apparently equipped with a new Sasquatch Package.
While that remains to be seen, the teaser video shows a muddy Bronco Sport parked in the wilderness. A Sasquatch then writes “8/26” in the mud.

Ford is staying tight-lipped, but previous spy photos have shown the facelifted crossover will have a more rugged front fascia with a larger grille that sports prominent “BRONCO” lettering. They’ll be joined by new headlights and a revised front bumper. We can also expect a new rear bumper as well as updated taillights.
As for that hardcore variant we mentioned earlier, it appeared to have extended fender flares, an increased ride height, and unique wheels wrapped in meaty Goodyear tires. That’s similar to the Bronco’s Sasquatch Package, which adds new fender flares, a “high-clearance” suspension, and 35-inch mud terrain tires. Buyers will also find a more advanced four-wheel drive system as well as locking front and rear axles.
Besides being more rugged, the interior is slated to get a Maverick-like makeover and this means we can expect a new 13.2-inch SYNC 4 display. It promises to be a significant improvement over the current 8-inch SYNC 3 infotainment system.
The Bronco Sport will also likely get the Maverick’s neutered EcoBoost engine. The turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder is targeted to produce 238 hp (177 kW / 241 PS) and 275 lb-ft (372 Nm) of torque, which is 12 hp (9 kW / 12 PS) and 2 lb-ft (3 Nm) less than the current model.
