- Alfa Romeo has finally revealed what the 33 Stradale sounds like.
- The model’s twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 produces more than 612 hp and has a “soundtrack of power and precision.”
- Customers will also be able to get an electric powertrain with more than 740 hp.
Alfa Romeo introduced the 33 Stradale nearly a year ago, but we haven’t heard it sing. That’s changing today as the automaker has released a short video featuring the glorious soundtrack of the car’s twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6.
As the company explained, the model has only been displayed statically so far. However, their engineering team is now focusing on dynamic development and this enabled them to capture the car’s roar.

While it’s hard to describe the sound, Alfa Romeo says the engine makes “elegant, harmonic and sophisticated melodies.” The company went on to call it a “soundtrack of power and precision, the result of mechanical mastery and Italian passion.”
That’s laying it on pretty thick, but the car sounds good. Of course, that’s to be expected for a limited edition exotic with over 612 hp (456 kW / 620 PS). The twin-turbo engine is connected to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, which sends power to the rear wheels via an electronic limited-slip differential. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in less than three seconds and hit a top speed of 207 mph (333 km/h).
Alfa Romeo will also offer the 33 Stradale as an electric vehicle. While that sounds like sacrilege, the EV will have more than 740 hp (552 kW / 750 PS) and a WLTP range of around 280 miles (450 km).
Production will be limited to 33 units and they’ve already been spoken for. Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera will be handling production for Alfa Romeo and the car promises “excellent performance on the track, without compromising on comfort and ease of use, including for everyday driving.”
