• The 2025 BMW X3 is now available with M Performance Parts.
  • Exterior updates include sharper aero bits and 22-inch alloy wheels.
  • The kit is compatible with the optional M Sport Package.

The new generation of the X3 has yet to receive a performance-focused version from the BMW M division, but a selection of M Performance Parts makes it sportier than ever in terms of looks.

The add-ons are made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), high-strength aramid or high-gloss polyurethane. Besides spicing up the looks, they also serve functional aerodynamic purposes according to BMW.

Starting with the front, the new splitter is finished in glossy black, matching the dark trim of the M Sport bumper and the grille. On the profile, the highlight is the 22-inch Y-spoke light-alloy wheels, although there is a more sensible 20-inch option which is compatible with both winter and summer tires. The SAV also benefits from the signature BMW M mirrors, Frozen Black side decals, and a carbon fuel filler cap.

At the back, the M Performance treatment includes a sportier bumper, a new diffuser and an oversized roof spoiler. These are finished in high-gloss black, although the spoiler can also match the body color of the vehicle. Specifically for the X3 M50 xDrive flagship, the company offers carbon quad tailpipes. This could easily pass for a new X3M if it wasn’t for the M50 badge on the tailgate.

Inside, available M Performance bits are limited to branded door sills in carbon or aluminum, stainless steel pedals, and special floor mats with contrasting stitching. BMW also offers an anodized aluminum locking button with a colored M logo, and a flashier key holder made of Alcantara and carbon-look leather.

The aforementioned BMW M Performance Parts are compatible with the factory-fit bodykit of the M Sport Package and M Sport Package Pro, which are already available for the fourth-generation X3. While these could be applied in all powertrain options, the most fitting is the X3 M50 xDrive producing 393 hp (293 kW / 399 PS) and 428 lb-ft (580 Nm) of torque from a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder mild-hybrid powertrain.

Chances are that the pictured BMW X3 M50 xDrive with M Performance Parts might remain the sportiest derivative of the ICE-powered SAV. We say that because a full-blown BMW M version could be reserved for the upcoming “Neue Klasse” iX3, expected to arrive next year with a fully electric powertrain.
