Despite its tiny footprint, the Fiat Topolino appears to be quite popular with coachbuilders. Torino-based Carrozzeria Garavini revealed its own version of the urban EV, announcing a limited production of 10 units.
Garavini is a reborn coachbuilder, continuing the heritage of a body shop founded back in 1908. Its latest project is based on the Fiat Topolino, proposing an alternative direction for its styling. The new interpretation is inspired by the Mediterranean island of Capri and the Dolce Vita lifestyle.

The bodywork has been completely redesigned, although it still incorporates elements from the design language of Fiat. The front looks more modern than retro, with a sculpted bumper and round LEDs reminiscent of the Fiat 500. The same applies to the disc wheels on the profile, which comes without doors.
The rear end sends yacht vibes, with a semi-exposed cargo space featuring a low floor covered in wood. Other cool touches include vintage LEDs, a canvas-style roof, and a round element looking like a spare wheel holder.
For the interior, Garavini added a new pair of seats with removable headrests that can double as beach pillows. The handbuilt nature of the model means that each of the 10 units will be highly personalized, according to the preferences of the owner.
The company didn’t change anything on the underpinnings of the heavy quadricycle, which is a triplet of the Citroen Ami and Opel Rocks Electric. This means that the coachbuilt Fiat Topolino is still powered by the single electric motor producing 8 hp (6 kW / 8 PS). The lithium-ion battery pack has a capacity of 5.5 kWh and should allow 47 miles (75 km) of WLTP range.

As reported by Carrozzieri Italiani, the price for the conversion will start from €45,000 ($50,257), not including taxes and the cost of the donor vehicle. This means that the total cost of a Garavini-built Topolino will be upwards of €55k ($61k) before taxes, making it the most expensive Topolino money can buy.
Alternatively, owners of the EV can opt for the Castagna Milano treatment, adding a long tail, a convertible bodystyle, and a beach-inspired interior. This conversion starts at €25,000 ($26,746) which, although far from cheap, is certainly more affordable than the one from Carrosseria Garavini.
