If the Ford Bronco Sport Free Wheeling Edition is a little too mainstream for your liking, perhaps the new Land Rover Defender Beach Break is right up your alley. It features coastal-inspired graphics that bear more than a passing resemblance to the aforementioned model.

Putting the similarities aside, the special edition celebrates summer and is based on the Defender 110. It features an ocean‑inspired Tasman Blue paint job as well as a contrasting white roof and white 20-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires. They’re joined by colorful graphics as well as a “Beach Break 1/20” badge on the tailgate.

Buyers will find a host of accessories including fixed side steps, mud flaps, and cross bars. The special edition also comes with a side‑mounted gear box, which can hold 0.8 cubic feet (24 liters) of equipment.

Land Rover didn’t release interior pictures, but said the Beach Break has Light Cloud and Lunar Resist seats as well as a Light Cloud Powder Coat cross beam. They’re joined by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11.4-inch infotainment system, and a Meridian sound system. Rounding out the highlights are rubber floor mats for the cargo area and passenger compartment.

Power is provided by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 296 hp (221 kW / 300 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel drive system. This enables the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in seven seconds, before hitting a top speed of 119 mph (192 km/h).

Production is limited to 20 units and pricing starts at $71,700 before a $1,625 destination fee.
