Following a preview earlier this year, Lynx Motors has revealed new information about their upcoming DeLorean DMC-EV. The biggest is that pricing begins at $249,999 and deliveries are slated to begin in 2025.
Customers can reserve their car with a $2,500 deposit and the model is being billed as a “complete reinvention” of the DeLorean DMC-12. The company still hasn’t said much about it, but renderings suggest the car will be equipped with a fully enclosed grille that sports “DMC-EV” badging.

We can also see modern LED headlights as well as new lower bodywork which is painted. The updates continue out back with new taillights and a bumper seemingly encased in glass. They’re joined by a large diffuser and a host of other revisions.
While the exterior is instantly recognizable, the same can’t be said about the interior which has been completely revamped. Drivers sit behind a new three-spoke carbon fiber steering wheel and find themselves looking at a massive display that spans nearly the entire width of the cabin.
Elsewhere, there’s a new center console that appears to have a wireless smartphone charger as well as a rotary controller with an integrated display. We can also see updated door panels as well as what appears to be modern leather seats with improved bolstering.
The V6 engine has been replaced by four in-wheel motors that give the car all-wheel drive as well as a claimed 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time of less than four seconds. Power comes from a 70 kWh CATL battery pack, which promises to deliver a range of up to 250 miles (402 km).
The stainless steel electromod is also slated to have new safety features such as side intrusion protection and traction control. However, it appears the company is still working out the details so you might want to take everything with a grain of salt.
