The countdown to Monterey Car Week continues as Maserati has unveiled the MC20 Tributo Modenese. As the name suggests, it’s a one-off that pays tribute to the city of Modena, Italy.

Billed as bold, bright, and daring, the MC20 Tributo Modenese was created by the Fuoriserie personalization team and sports a two-tone exterior that fades from blue to black and vice versa. We can also see yellow accents as well as a trident graphic on the hood. Rounding out the highlights are black wheels that contrast with yellow brake calipers.

Maserati said virtually nothing about the Tributo Modenese, but the standard MC20 has a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 with 621 hp (463 kW / 630 PS) and 538 lb-ft (730 Nm) of torque. It enables the coupe to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 2.9 seconds, before hitting a top speed in excess of 202 mph (325 km/h).

The Tributo Modenese won’t be the only MC20 in California as the company will also showcase the MC20 Icona, MC20 Cielo, and an “all-new super sports car” based on the model. The latter debuts August 16 and Maserati has said it will be influenced by the GT2 race car. That certainly appears to be the case as a prior teaser revealed front fender vents, a carbon fiber splitter, and what appears to be a motorsport-inspired hood.

The MCXtrema will also have a starring role as the first customer delivery will take place at Laguna Seca on August 17. To celebrate the occasion, the company says that “Maserati Chief test driver Andrea Bertolini will be on hand to conduct a walk-around and driver brief with [the] MCXtrema’s new owner. The two will enjoy track time together, where Bertolini will demonstrate firsthand the high-power V6 3.0-L twin turbo engine before handing over the keys for the first time.”
