• Naran Automotive is gearing up to showcase a hypercar prototype at Salon Privé.
  • The four-seat coupe has a twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 with 1,048 hp and 764 lb-ft of torque.
  • The company claims the all-wheel drive hypercar will be the “fastest non-electrified four-seater in the world.”

Naran Automotive burst onto the scene in 2020, but quickly faded from the spotlight. However, they’re still alive and kicking as a prototype hypercar will be shown at Salon Privé late this month.

While the company has largely flown under the radar, details about the “hyper coupe” were announced in June. At the time, the company said founder Ameerh Naran worked with WYN  Design’s Jowyn Wong to create the car’s motorsport-inspired styling. While Wong’s name might not ring a bell, he’s worked on the De Tomaso P72 and Apollo Intensa Emozione.

Details are hazy, but the car is an aggressive and edgy coupe that features a ventilated hood, a prominent front splitter, and distinctive lighting units. We can also see sporty side skirts, a prominent rear wing, and “hybrid carbon” wheels that are backed up by a carbon ceramic braking system. The company also said the model has composite body panels as well as “hinged clamshells at each end.”

Naran doesn’t appear to have released interior pictures yet, but it sounds like customers can expect premium leather as well as CNC-milled billet aluminum accents. However, the cabin will be extensively customizable and the company has said early requests have included everything from incorporating marble and granite to gold leaf.

Power comes from a twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 that is said to produce 1,048 hp (781 kW / 1,063 PS) and 764 lb-ft (1,035 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a “bespoke transmission” and an all-wheel drive system that can apparently be deactivated to revert to rear-wheel drive.

The company says this setup will enable the coupe to rocket from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 2.3 seconds and 0-200 mph (0- 322 km/h) in 16.5 seconds. They went on to claim the model will be “the fastest non-electrified four-seater in the world.”

Additional details are limited, but the company said the model will have hydraulic steering, four-way adjustable dampers, and a double-wishbone suspension. Naran also mentioned a “race track-inspired aero pack,” which will apparently generate 3,036 lbs (1,377 kg) of downforce.

Production is limited to 39 units and pricing starts at €2 million, which is nearly $2.2 million at current exchange rates. The company is currently accepting deposits of €350,000 or £300,000.
