Porsche unveiled a limited-production special at the Monterey Car Week to honor the 50th anniversary of the 911 Turbo. The 911 Turbo 50 Years edition features nostalgic styling inside and out and will be produced in 1,974 units, a tribute to the debut year of the original.
While the Carrera and GTS versions of the 911 have been updated to the 992.2 generation, the special edition Turbo 50 Years remains rooted in the 992.1 platform. However, its distinctive features, particularly when paired with the optional Heritage Design package, make it a highly sought-after collectible for Porsche enthusiasts.

The standard decals on the profile subtly reference the livery of the 1973 Porsche 911 RSR Turbo concept, which inspired the roadgoing 911 Turbo (930) that followed in 1974. Another cool detail is the Anthracite Grey finish on the rear wing, lower rear fascia, mirror bases, and bumper intakes, creating a striking contrast with the main body color.
The new Turbonite shade—exclusive to Porsche’s Turbo-badged models—makes its 911 debut after appearing on the Taycan, Panamera, Macan, and Cayenne. On the anniversary edition, it adorns the alloy wheels, rear decklid, fuel cap, Porsche crest, and Turbo 50 badging.
Additionally, “1974-2024” lettering is featured on the engine cover, accompanied by a turbo icon that also appears on the puddle lights.

The interior theme draws inspiration from the 1970s Zeitgeist movement, featuring bold MacKenzie tartan inserts on the seats and door panels. Turbonite accents appear on the seatbelts and contrast stitching, while perforated RaceTex covers the roof liner. Turbo 50 badges adorn the illuminated door sills, headrests, and the numbered anniversary plaque, complemented by a custom version of the dashboard-mounted clock.
Buyers seeking an extra dose of exclusivity and nostalgia should opt for the Heritage Design Package “50 Years Turbo.” This package features an Aventurine Green Metallic body, paired with a brilliant silver hood and optional silk matte decals reminiscent of vintage race cars. For a cleaner look, the decals can be partially or fully deleted.
The gorgeous Sport Classic wheels, finished in white and silver, showcase the 1964 edition of the Porsche crest emblem on the center caps, while the rear badging is elegantly finished in gold. Finally, the interior gains extended leather, tartan accents, and green dials.

Power for the limited run model comes from the same twin-turbocharged 3.7-liter boxer engine as the standard 911 Turbo S, cranking out 641 hp (478 kW / 650 PS) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. An eight-speed dual-clutch PDK delivers all that oomph to all four wheels.
But it doesn’t stop there—the special edition comes loaded with a sport exhaust system featuring black tailpipes and PASM sport suspension, dropping the ride height by 10 mm (0.4 inches) for an even more aggressive stance.
Pricing and availability
If you’re considering this special 911 Turbo, you’ve already figured out it’s for those with deep pockets. The Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years starts at $261,100, plus a $1,995 delivery, processing, and handling fee. That’s $30,700 more than the 2025 911 Turbo S Coupe it’s based on—and adding the Heritage Design Package “50 Years Turbo” will push the price even higher.
U.S. deliveries of this exclusive model begin in late 2024. To top it off, Porsche is also offering a limited-edition chronograph with a black face and Turbonite accents, capped at just 1,974 units.
