The world just can’t get enough of 911-based builds, with UK engineering firm RML the latest to join the party, dropping a set of teasers for their upcoming Le Mans-inspired tuning package for the Porsche sports car.

The new tuning package will be compatible across the Porsche 911 lineup, as RML promises to offer a wide range of options for both engine and aero performance. The dark teasers suggest that the model is based on the 992 generation.

The 911 received a redesigned face with a vented hood, and more aggressive bumper intakes combined with wider fenders, a new set of alloy wheels, and a roof-mounted air intake. Still, the highlight appears to be the redesigned rear end, which appears to be significantly longer and wider than a stock 911.

RML claims that the model is influenced by Le Mans Hypercars, proudly stating it will “extend the car’s speed and handling capabilities well beyond standard, while maintaining full reliability”.

The debut of the tuning package – codenamed P39 – coincides with the 40th anniversary of the RML Group. Founded back in 1984 by racing driver Ray Mallock, the specialist will also reveal three other models, one for each decade of existence, coming from the respective divisions (Motorsport / Engineering / Power / Bespoke). These new RML creations include a carbon-bodied SuperClassic Aston Martin V8 Vantage restomod, and a high-performance VarEVolt battery module.

The most interesting of the bunch is the P40 track-day special. This is described as an “ultra-lightweight, super-safe race car” with F1-inspired aerodynamics, allowing it to reach “new levels of speed and handling for track-day cars”.

RML CEO, Michael Mallock, said: “RML Group has achieved an enormous amount in the previous 40 years, we are still focused squarely on the future as these product launches show. I am excited to bring all of these new high-performance products to market. They are just the beginning of a long product pipeline for us. I look forward to sharing more details on each soon.”
