• The Battista hypercar showcases a detailed hand-painted Cambiano map on its rear wing.
  • During Monterey Car Week, Pininfarina hosted a special cruise for owners of the Battista hypercar.

In addition to a one-off Targa version of the Battista hypercar, Automobili Pininfarina unveiled its latest coachbuilt version of the electric hypercar at Monterey Car Week. The car celebrates the small Italian town of Cambiano.

While some other Battista models have been built with dramatic paint schemes, the owner of this car decided to keep things relatively restrained, opting for most of the panels to be finished in a simple shade of white. Various other elements are painted black, including the pillars, roof, and part of the hood, while carbon fiber is visible on the front splitter and rocker panels.

The underside of the car’s rear wing is particularly special. It includes an intricate hand-painted map of the Cambiano region with a stylized schematic of the Battista’s production line. Custom door plates are also featured with similar imagery and have been laser engraved with scripts reading ‘Where Everything Starts’ and ‘Fatto Con Amore in Italia,’ which translates to Made with Love in Italy.

The Battista’s interior is also rather special. Featured on the top section of the seats is the same black and white ‘dogtooth’ design as found on last year’s B95 Barchetta show car. The rest of the cabin is finished in black leather with white contrast stitching.

“With its unique and intimate connection to Cambiano, this Battista holds a truly special place in the heart of everyone at Automobili Pininfarina,” Automobili Pininfarina chief design officer Dave Amantea said. “We have lovingly curated a car that proudly displays the unmatched sophistication and finesse of our design heritage that stretches back almost 95 years. This unique livery celebrates the talent and dedication of our designers, engineers and artisans, who work in Cambiano to pursue our brand vision: Dream Cars, Made Real.”

Last week’s festivities in Monterey weren’t only special for Pininfarina because they served as the debut of the Battista Targamerica but also because the brand hosted its first-ever Battista Owners’ Parade. The special cruise included 10 vehicles and their owners who took in the sights of the glorious Californian coastline.
