BMW has dipped its toes into the world of pickup trucks several times over the years. Way back in 2011, the Bavarian firm created a one-off E92 M3 Pickup, and in 2019, it took an X7 and converted it into a truck. While both of these prototypes were cool, neither of them reached production. That didn’t stop the owner of this 3-Series from making their own BMW pickup.
The 2007 335i you’re looking at recently popped up for sale on Facebook’s Marketplace in Fresno, California. As is so often the case with these listings, very few details have been provided about the car, other than the fact that it has a salvage title, which obviously impacts its appeal. Fortunately, it’s also very cheap, and has been listed with an asking price of just $4,500.

We’ve reached out to the owner seeking some additional information about the car. For now, it’s hard to say if the conversion was done at a shop or in the seller’s own garage, but whatever the case may be, we suspect this would have been quite a complex project and would not have been the work of a weekend.
In being converted to a pickup, the sedan’s two rear doors have been removed. Indeed, the entire cabin behind the front seats has been cut away and in its place sits a pickup bed. Surprisingly, the bed is quite large, although it does have very thick sides that eat into the storage space.
The most bizarre part of the BMW build is the rear window. Rather than chopping out a large section of the bulkhead and installing a rectangular window like most pickups, the builder appears to have stuck together two rear quarter windows that were removed when ditching the sedan’s second row.
