Cadillac and Barrett-Jackson have announced plans to offer the first Escalade IQ at the Scottsdale Fall Auction this October. There’s no word on how much it will fetch, but the standard model is expected to start around $130,000 and 100 percent of the hammer price will go to the Detroit Children’s Fund.
The companies didn’t say much about the first production model, but they released a picture of a Sport 2 variant in Black Raven. While that’s not much to go on, the EV has a black crystal shield grille that is flanked by vertical headlights. The model also sports aerodynamically optimized 24-inch wheels, a fixed glass roof, and available power doors. Customers will also find an eTrunk, which opens to reveal a carpeted compartment that holds 12.2 cubic feet (345 liters) of luggage.

The interior is the star of the show as it features a luxurious combination of leather, wood, and metallic accents. They’re joined by a 55-inch curved display as well as an 11-inch front command center.
The model can also be equipped with an Executive Second-Row Seating package, which adds a rear center console as well as 14-way power seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The package also includes two 12.6-inch displays, a rear command center, stowable tray tables, and a dual wireless smartphone charger.
Cadillac hasn’t released detailed specifications, but the model has a 200+ kWh battery pack that will deliver a range of approximately 460 miles (740 km). This is 10 miles (16 km) more than the original estimate.
The battery feeds a dual-motor all-wheel drive system with a combined output of 680 hp (507 kW / 689 PS) and 615 lb-ft (834 Nm) of torque. Those numbers climb to 750 hp (559 kW / 760 PS) and 785 lb-ft (1,063 Nm) in Velocity Max mode.
Other highlights include Super Cruise, Magnetic Ride Control 4.0, and an adaptive air ride suspension that can raise or lower the vehicle. The Escalade IQ also has four-wheel steering as well as an Arrival Mode, which enables the SUV to drive diagonally.
