• Powering the car is a 4.4-liter supercharged V8 with 500 hp.
  • Alpina sold just 800 examples of the E65-based B7 in North America.
  • This car is finished in Alpina Blue II and looks absolutely brilliant.

The E65-generation BMW 7-Series is one of the most divisive because of its weird shape and odd proportions. However, if you’re looking to get behind the wheel of an extremely luxurious vehicle for a very reasonable price, an E65 7-Series can be especially intriguing – even more so if it’s a rare Alpina version.

This Alpina B7 has lived out its entire life in California and is painted in a stunning color known as Alpina Blue II. It’s estimated that this example of 1 of just 800 E65 B7s sold in North America, making it even more desirable.

Cars & Bids is handling the sale of the car and notes that it has a clean Carfax report and, despite its age, has only been driven ~64,000 miles (~103,000 km). It’s the closest thing to a BMW M7 we’ll ever get.

Alpina made several styling tweaks to the 7-Series, all of which make it much more visually appealing. These include a new front apron, multi-spoke wheels, a new rear bumper, and a distinctive rear lip spoiler. It looks supremely regal, and we’re sure driving it would make you feel like an absolute boss.
