- This rare 2006 Ford GT, with just 14.9 miles, is a collector’s dream auction find.
- The seats remain wrapped in plastic, and the Tungsten Grey paint still looks brand new.
- Being a Canadian-spec model, it has that odd rear bumper add-on for regulations.
Every now and then, a car will come up for public auction so marvelous that all you can do is stare at it, basking in its magnificence and wishing that you had six or seven figures sitting in your bank account just waiting to be used. This is one of those times.
Few American performance cars get our hearts racing quite like the original Ford GT, and while it’s not uncommon for them to hit the used market, it’s rare that you’ll find one driven as little as this. SBX Cars is handling the sale of this 2006 model, which, in the past 18 years, has only ever been driven 14.9 miles (23.9 km). Yes, this is a delivery mileage GT, and it could be yours.

The mid-engined supercar is finished in Tungsten Grey, one of the most identifiable colors offered for the car. It is number 222 or the 277 examples allocated for the Canadian market and was specified with 10-spoke, forged aluminum wheels from BBS that sit over a set of red brake calipers and cross-drilled discs. The original owner also ordered it with a silver stripe package.
There’s no word on why the first owner didn’t drive the car, but we do know it was sold to the second and current owner in 2018 and has been kept in climate-controlled storage ever since. It’ll change hands once again, complete with seat covers, stickers, tags, and a spare key.
If you want a chance to know what it was like to own what was long America’s only mid-engined supercar, head on over to SBX Cars.
Remarkably, this isn’t the only low-mileage the auction house is selling. It also has a second-generation 2018 GT on offer and it has only been driven 10 km (6 miles) since new. This car is slightly more eye-catching thanks to the combination of Frozen White paint with Sonic Blue Pearl Metallic stripes.
