• This 16M Scuderia Spider is significantly more expensive than a new SF90 Stradale.
  • The car’s 4.3-liter naturally aspirated V8 pumps out 510 hp and 347 lb-ft of torque.
  • Ferrari built just 499 examples of the 16M Scuderia Spider.

The Ferrari 16M Scuderia Spider is one of the greatest V8-powered supercars from the Italian brand and was built to celebrate its 16th and most recent constructor’s championship in Formula 1. With just 499 units produced, it’s hardly a surprise that values have soared in recent years, but is this one really worth almost $700,000?

Dubai dealership F1rst Motors has listed this 16M Scuderia Spider for sale with a 2,549,999 AED asking price, or the equivalent of around $694,000 at current exchange rates. That makes it more than $100,000 pricier than a brand new Ferrari SF90 Stradale, which is much more modern and, thanks to its 986 hp hybrid powertrain, undoubtedly faster.

A search through sales of other pristine examples at public auctions in recent years shows that prices have jumped significantly over the past few years. In January, RM Sotheby’s sold one for €421,250 (~$469,000) and that car had over 22,000 km (~13,600 miles) under its belt, which is quite a lot for a car like this.

The listing for this Dubai-based car makes no mention of how many miles it’s been driven. That’s a shame, as that’s one of the most important factors in determining the value of a prized exotic like this. We’ve reached out to the dealer asking for more details, including the Ferrari’s ownership history.

Is This $700K Ferrari 16M Scuderia Spider Really Worth More Than An SF90?

Visually, the black paint looks fantastic and is beautifully contrasted with yellow brake calipers, Ferrari shields on the front quarter panels, and subtle silver racing stripes running over the center of the car. The interior is void of any fancy colors or trims and is dominated by areas of black Alcantara, glossy carbon fiber, and plenty of physical buttons and switches.

Like all other Ferrari 16Ms, power comes from a 4.3-liter naturally aspirated V8 with 510 hp and 347 lb-ft (470 Nm) of torque. This V8 howls unlike any modern Ferrari engine, but is it enough to justify the asking price? We’ll let you decide.
