Iveco has rolled out a new all-electric LCV for the European market, developed in partnership with Hyundai. Dubbed the Iveco eMoovy, it’s essentially a rebadged Hyundai Staria featuring a chassis-cab configuration and an emissions-free powertrain.
The Italian truck maker says that the eMoovy is the first electric offering in the 2.5-3.5 ton LCV segment. According to Iveco, the powertrain has been borrowed directly from Hyundai Group’s biggest EV SUV, likely pointing to the Kia EV9 or the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 9.

Powering the Iveco eMoovy is a single electric motor delivering 215 hp (160 kW / 218 PS) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. Buyers can choose between a 63 kWh or 76 kWh battery, with the larger option offering a WLTP range of 320 km (199 miles). The vehicle’s 800V architecture supports ultra-fast charging and V2L functions, adding 100 km (62 miles) of range in just 10 minutes when plugged into a 350 kW charger.
Hyundai has yet to introduce an electric version of the Staria, which currently offers internal combustion and hybrid powertrains. However, it’s likely that the MPV will adopt the Iveco eMoovy’s electric powertrain in the near future, further expanding Hyundai’s lineup and aligning with the brand’s push into electric mobility.
From the outside, the model is identical to Hyundai ST1, which is the cab-chassis version of the Staria. The only exception is the decorative grille insert at the front with Iveco lettering. The rear part is configurable, with a wide range of bodies including box van and pickup.
Depending on the add-on, the maximum loading capacity is 10 cubic meters (353 cubic feet), while the payload is 1.5 tons (3,307 pounds). Iveco says that the low profile of the LCV is “ideal for logistics and delivery operations”, with the low ground clearance “maximizing cargo bin capacity and improving operator mobility”.
The interior and the equipment are also carried over from the Hyundai twin, including a digital cockpit, eco-leather seats with heating and ventilation, and a number of ADAS.
The Iveco eMoovy debuted at the IAA Transportation show in Hannover. Beyond this new electric LCV, Hyundai and Iveco are also working on “electric heavy-duty truck solutions for European markets.” This builds on a partnership that began in 2022, with both companies focused on advancing carbon-neutral mobility and transport.
