The 2025 Hyundai Tucson has only been on the market for a few months, and it’s already been hit with its first recall. Thankfully, the recall is limited to just a few dozen examples in the US that simply lack an airbag sticker which they require under local safety laws.
Hyundai has revealed that some 2025 Tucson models assembled from June 7, 2024, to July 30, 2024, at the Kia Motors Mexico plant may not have a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) label on the glove compartment.

These labels describe the increased risks that an airbag poses to an infant or child in the front seat. If this label isn’t present, it’s possible a motorist may be unaware of these risks and allow someone too young to sit in the front passenger seat, increasing the risk of injury.
Hyundai says that the label may not have been affixed at the vehicle processing center. In total, 65 Tucson models are impacted. Dealers were notified electronically of the recall on September 13, while owners will be notified by first class mail from November 12, 2024. Included in the mail will be a new SRS label that they can stick to the glove compartment. Alternatively, owners may choose to bring their Tucson to a Hyundai dealer to have the label affixed by a technician.
Prices for the 2025 Tucson start at $28,355 and while that’s a $755 rise from the year prior, the new model does benefit from some welcome upgrades. These include a new steering wheel, a larger 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a redesigned center stack, and a new dashboard. As standard, 2025 models have a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 187 hp and 178 lb-ft (241 Nm).
Those looking for some added grunt can opt for a turbocharged 1.6-liter operating alongside an electric motor and a 1.49 kWh lithium-ion battery pack to produce 231 hp and 258 lb-ft (349 Nm).
