- This classic Porsche 944 has been transformed into a unique pickup with Audi 200 Turbo axles.
- The seller dedicated an impressive 26 years to creating this one-of-a-kind Porsche pickup truck.
- Powering this unusual ride is a 3.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing a respectable 240hp.
Porsche has never ventured into the pickup truck market—and hopefully (fingers crossed) it never will. However, if you’re determined on owning a custom-built pickup adorned with the famous Porsche badge, be prepared to cough up a hefty sum for that privilege.
You see, the wild creation you’re looking at wasn’t crafted in one of Porsche’s factories, but it’s still a genuine Porsche that has been transformed into a truck. It began its life as a 1987 Porsche 944, and over the course of 26 years—from 1995 to 2021—it slowly evolved from a compelling sports car into a six-wheeler, using mostly authentic Porsche parts. Currently, it’s up for auction in Karlsbad, Germany

The listing reveals the car took over 2,500 hours to build, and the elongated chassis now features three axles sourced from the Audi 200 Turbo. The huge rear bed is lined in oak and includes a large aluminum carry box that can hold the removable targa roof panels. While this is a home-built creation, the craftsmanship looks excellent, and the bed even features adjustable tie-down areas, so it’s very practical, too.
Plenty of other upgrades have been made to the car. For example, it features headlights from a 924 Carrera GT and a set of BBS wheels from a 993 Turbo, wrapped in 205/50 front and 255/40 rear tires. A tow hitch is even found at the rear.
Power comes from an original 3.0-liter four-cylinder Porsche engine with 240 hp, though the listing notes it’s not the original engine the car came with from the factory. A manual transmission is also featured. Curiously, there’s no mention of which of the car’s rear wheels are driven. A bright orange paint scheme with black accents adds to the car’s dramatic look.
Several nice additions have been made to the Porsche’s cabin. For example, it includes special ‘Porsche Pickup’ badges on the steering wheel, seats clad in bright orange fabric, and bespoke side sill scripts that read ‘944S 6 Pickup.’
If this one-of-a-kind Porsche has caught your attention, you can check it out on the Kickdown auction site. Just remember—the starting bid is a hefty €99,990 ($111,502), which places it squarely in “I really want it” territory.
