- Somehow, this Nissan Pathfinder made its way onto the top of a Porsche 911.
- While it’s remarkable that it got up there, it clearly ended up high-centered.
- At the same time, the Porsche appears to be in awesome shape considering the accident.
We see all sorts of wild crashes and accidents here daily but very few end up like this one. A Nissan Pathfinder ended up high-centered on a Porsche 911 and there are almost more questions than answers. Let’s dig into this wreck and discuss what’s obvious, what’s not, and why it might be a great ad for Porsche.
First, we can’t say for sure where this happened, but it appears to be somewhere temperate or perhaps even tropical thanks to various palm trees in the scene. The original poster over on Reddit, ‘mas5432’, claims to live in Florida, so that would check out. The actual scene of the crash isn’t totally clear either. It could be a street but some in the comment section believe it’s at a fuel station.

Regardless of location, what’s unquestionable is that the Pathfinder somehow managed to get itself stuck on the Porsche. Based on how undamaged the rear bumper of the 911 appears to be, we’re guessing the Nissan driver backed up onto the sports car. Notably, there isn’t any clear damage to the front of the Pathfinder either aside from scraping it on the ground.
From an off-roading standpoint, it would be far easier for the Nissan to back up onto the Porsche to get into this position than in any other way. In the end, it appears that rescue crews had a crane come out to physically lift the Nissan directly up and off of the Porsche rather than try to drive it back down.
That likely saved the Porsche driver some anguish and possibly the insurance company some cash. Sadly, there is no report about the outcome of this wreck. The Nissan might have been capable of driving away. On the other hand, whether the Porsche could drive away or not, this is a great reminder of just how tough and strong modern automobiles are. The Pathfinder weighs somewhere around 4,400 pounds and this 911 is handling it great.
