• Bidding on this rare US-special shows there remains plenty of demand for the iconic Honda roadster.
  • The AP2-generation is powered by a 2.2-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine with 237 hp.
  • Currently located in British Columbia, Canada, this car has only been driven around 3,500 miles.

A handful of desirable Honda S2000s have hit the market over the past year, and of them all, this low-mileage 2008 CR variant is one of the most desirable. But it’s not cheap.

The Honda S2000 CR, also known as the Club Racer, was capped at just 700 units for the US market, and this one is painted in Apex Blue Pearl. It’s spent the last six years of its life residing in Canada and is now available in British Columbia. Despite arguably being one of the finest driver’s cars of its era, it’s only ever been driven ~3,500 miles (~5,600 km) and is in excellent condition.

Like all other S2000 CR models, the car features bespoke bodywork which includes a thoroughly revised front fascia with a distinctive bumper. It also features a removable black hardtop, a fixed rear wing, and 17-inch alloy wheels clad in Bridgestone Potenza RE070 tires. Found in the cabin are bucket seats clad in black Alcantara with yellow inserts and contrast stitching.

As this S2000 has been driven so little since it rolled off the production line in 2008, it remains in excellent condition and shows very few signs of wear. The Bring a Trailer listing doesn’t provide a fully detailed service history of the car, but a handful of service receipts are included. These include receipts from a service that was performed by McLaren Vancouver in 2022 and included engine oil replacement and a complete coolant flush.

The original 2.2-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder has been retained and left unmodified. When new, the car was good for 237 hp and 162 lb-ft (220 Nm) of torque, meaning that despite the S2000’s age, it still has more horsepower than a new Toyota GR86 with its larger 2.4-liter four-cylinder.

Bidding on the car had reached $70,000 at the time of writing. If you are interested in this S2K, head on over to Bring a Trailer before it’s too late.
