It’s hard to look cool while towing a trailer but this one is far from ordinary, nor is the tow vehicle. This unique home-away-from-home is being sold on Facebook Marketplace as a package deal and includes a 2004 Honda Element that just so happens to be hooked up to a matching Honda Element turned camper.
This is far from the only time we’ve seen a car that tows a matching trailer. In 2021, the internet was abuzz when photos of an Acura NSX towing the rear half of a second NSX as a trailer went viral. While this Element doesn’t quite have the cool factor of that NSX, it is significantly more practical and much, much cheaper. In fact, the Element, plus the camper, are available out of Georgetown, Texas, for just $8,500.

The tow vehicle appears to be a 2004 Element EX, meaning it rocks a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder with 160 hp and 161 lb-ft (218 Nm) of torque, mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. It’s been driven 251,431 miles (~404,000 km), and while the seller has provided no details about the car’s service history, he says it’s “reliable, versatile, and in great condition.”
We then have the camper, which is clearly the coolest part. The front axle and entire engine bay have been removed, but the rest of the Element’s body has been retained. The builder has then completely stripped out the original interior and fitted a pair of plush black leather seats that face a large TV panel on the bulkhead. There’s also an electric fireplace, a small refrigerator, a custom audio system, a sink, a stove, and even a shower. A small foldable table and a pair of chairs are also provided.
This isn’t the first time the Element has been listed for sale. In 2020, the same Element tow vehicle and trailer were listed for sale with the stock wheels for $5,000 and with a set of aftermarket wheels for $7,000.
