- The wild 1980 Chevrolet Corvette rocks a small-block 350 cubic-inch V8.
- Several parts have been lifted from the C7 Corvette, none of which suit the C3’s design.
- Fortunately, this C3 is cheap and could serve as the base of a good project car.
We’ve seen truly questionable Chevrolet Corvettes over the years, but this 1980 model might just be one of the controversial we have ever come across. If, for some strange reason, this ‘Vette appeals to you, you have the chance to buy it on Facebook Marketplace.
This Corvette has been listed for sale in Bunker Hill, West Virginia, with an asking price of $8,000 “or best offer.” There’s no information on whether it actually runs, and the ownership history remains a mystery. However, the photos show it’s been subjected to some highly dubious modifications, including the addition of parts from a C7 ‘Vette.

The sketchy upgrades start with the nose, which has been stretched thanks to a custom bumper. A pair of headlights from a C7 have been wedged into place, although we’d be shocked if they were actually genuine lights and suspect they’re cheaper aftermarket units. There are plenty of other weird things going on too.
Accompanying the unique front fascia is a new hood with a large cutout that the engine pokes out of. Apparently, the engine is one of Chevy’s small-block 350 cubic-inch V8s that’s claimed to have “lots of extra’s and money [sic]” in it. The seller admits they “don’t know a whole lot about cars,” and there’s definitely a chance any interested buyers could strike up a good deal and save the car.
But the strangeness doesn’t stop at the front. Plenty of weird touches have been made to the rear of the car, too. Continuing the C7 theme are new taillights that don’t suit the shape of the C3’s body in the slightest. A new rear spoiler has also been fitted as have a pair of cheap-looking LED reverse lights.
The seller hasn’t provided any photos of the car’s interior but claims it has fresh carpets and is being sold with removable T-tops and a fixed hardtop. A mystery to be solved only by the brave.
