With an asking price of $325,000, the limited-run Ford Mustang GTD is exorbitantly expensive and out of reach of most Mustang buyers. So, what’s the next best move if you want to roll around in a Mustang that looks as fierce and wild as the GTD, without having to sell your house or your kidneys?
Streethunter Designs has the answer. The US-based tuner has previewed its new GTD-inspired bodykit for the Mustang that’ll premiere at SEMA next month. While it lacks the trick rear wing of the GTD, many other areas of the kit’s design share obvious similarities with the track-focused version of the pony car.

Take the front fascia, for example. Like the GTD, Streethunter Designs has crafted a new hood for the Mustang with larger air extraction vents. The muscle car also rocks a new carbon fiber splitter and canards and re-shaped upper and lower grilles, just like the GTD.
The modifications continue down the sides where you’ll notice the front and rear wheel arches have been flared and sit much wider than standard. The front fenders have also been customized with the same humungous air vents seen on the GTD. Street Hunter Designs has then crafted new side skirts for the Ford and added small side air intakes. These new intakes have not been incorporated into the rear arches as neatly as the GTD but do add some extra aggression to the car’s looks. They can be complemented with optional quarter window scoops.
The rear end, though, takes a bit of a detour from GTD territory. There’s no trick rear wing with DRS here. Instead, you get a large, cleanly executed carbon fiber lip spoiler. Streethunter also gives the car a fresh carbon fiber diffuser, upping the ante on both looks and aerodynamics, even if it doesn’t match the GTD’s track-level functionality.
As for pricing? Streethunter hasn’t dropped that bombshell just yet. But we do know that pre-orders will be opening shortly after its debut at SEMA, so it won’t be long before Mustang owners can start dreaming—and budgeting.
