- Kia has introduced five new concepts at SEMA including ones based on the EV9 and PV5.
- The automaker also showed more realistic builds based on the Sportage, Sorento, and Telluride.
- The modifications vary by model, but most have lifts, wraps, and off-road tires.
The SEMA Show is underway in Las Vegas and Kia has used the event to unveil an assortment of new concepts. While there are five in total, the emphasis is clearly on EVs.
Kicking things off is the EV9 Advntr, which imagines an off-road focused three-row electric crossover. It features a 3-inch (76 mm) lift and a rugged front fascia with prominent recovery hooks.

The changes continue further back as we can see heavy duty rocker panels and a custom roof rack with an integrated light bar. Rounding out the highlights are a new rear bumper and stylish wheels wrapped in meaty tires.
For the vanlife crowd, there’s the PV5 Wkndr concept which has auxiliary lights, a lift, and off-road rubber. The model has also been outfitted with solar panels and unique hydro turbine wheels, which can recharge the vehicle’s batteries.
The concept is also notable for having a modular interior, a pop-up roof, and an onboard air compressor. We can also see a winch and a related external display.
Moving closer to reality, there’s the Thetis Sportage that was created in conjunction with Rhino Rack. The water-inspired concept features a custom wrap, rose gold accents, and Fifteen52 wheels wrapped in Toyo tires. They’re joined by a kayak mount from Rhino Rack.
The military-esque Zeus Telluride is the result of a partnership with Xpel and it sports an Eibach lift as well as Fifteen52 wheels shod in Toyo rubber. They’re joined by a Borla exhaust and a MOD storage system from Yakima.
Lastly, there’s the Gaia Sorento which features mountain graphics, gold accents, and a Yakima awning. They’re joined by light bars as well as the usual Fifteen52 wheels and Toyo tires. However, this concept sports an outdoor projector and an outdoor soundbar for watching movies under the stars.
