A few years ago, John Sarkisyan from a little-known tuning brand dubbed S Klub, unveiled a custom widebody Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster. He has gone on to overhaul several other classic Mercedes, Ferrari, and Porsche models since then and at this year’s SEMA Show, has revealed Là SLR. It’s a wild take on the iconic Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren that makes Mansory’s SLR ‘Renovatio’ seem reserved by comparison.
A 30-piece bodykit has been developed for the German supercar. This kit includes flared front and rear wheel arches that widen it by a massive 10 inches and while we don’t mind the new arches, some of the other changes made are a lot more questionable.

For starters, the SLR McLaren has been converted into a pseudo-speedster that seemingly takes inspiration from Bussnik’s AMG GT-S Speedlegend unveiled a few years ago. As such, it features a Formula 1-style halo running over the cockpit and then includes a pair of glass ‘bubble’ wind deflectors in front of the driver and passenger. The SLR Roadster was gorgeous as is and transforming it into a speedster with a halo maybe isn’t the best of ideas.
It’s not just this conversion that makes Là SLR look a little bizarre. The bodykit includes a number of new components at the rear of the Mercedes, including a huge wing that looks like it’s been taken straight out of a Need for Speed game from the early 2000s. A huge diffuser is also featured but it doesn’t do the car any favors and looks a little too over-the-top.
One area of this SLR that we do quite like is the cabin. Bright red Alcantara adorns many interior surfaces, including the steering wheel, dashboard, door panels, and the seats. There’s also a nice splattering of carbon fiber accents, including on the steering wheel, as well as the original silver air vents and HVAC controls.
