- The first 2025 Corvette ZR1 will be auctioned by Barrett-Jackson on January 25.
- All funds will go to the American Red Cross and the car will likely bring in millions.
- The ZR1 features the “most powerful V8 ever produced in America from an auto manufacturer.”
The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 ushers in a new era of American performance as it features a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine with 1,064 hp (793 kW / 1,079 PS) and 828 lb-ft (1,121 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission that enables the car to hit a top speed of at least 233 mph (375 km/h).
Those are staggering numbers, which easily beat some of the best hypercars from Europe. This should make the ZR1 a hot commodity, but here’s your chance to own the very first one.
First Look: 2025 Corvette ZR1 Is A 1,064 HP Hypercar With 215+ MPH Top Speed
General Motors and Barrett-Jackson are joining forces to auction the first retail production 2025 Corvette ZR1. Wearing VIN 001, the model will be configured to the preference of the winning bidder. This opens up an assortment of possibilities as the model will be offered as a coupe and convertible.
Besides those two body styles, Chevrolet offers an optional ZTK performance package. It promises to turn the car into a “true track weapon” as it adds front dive planes, a rear wing, and a hood-mounted Gurney lip. Underneath, the car’s front underwing has been replaced by underbody strakes that help to increase downforce. Other highlights include stiffer springs, revised dampers, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires.

The ZR1 is slated to go under the hammer at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale Auction on January 25. All funds will benefit the American Red Cross, which supports disaster relief efforts, blood drives, and military families.
There’s no word on how much the car will fetch, but the first Corvette C8 went for $3 million. The Corvette Z06 garnered $3.6 million, so it’s possible the ZR1 might break the $4 million mark.
