It’s been six long years since Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus presented the 004, its road-legal three-seat supercar, and now production has finally started. Originally intended to be built in Connecticut, production for the 004 has been moved to Roush Performance’s facility in Detroit, Michigan. Customer deliveries will start in the first quarter of 2025.
Two versions of the car are available, known as the 004S and the 004CS. Both are underpinned by a custom carbon fiber monocoque and are powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8. This engine is thought to be GM’s LT4 featured in the C7 Corvette Z06 and the Cadillac CTS-V. It delivers 650 hp and is coupled exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission with a gated shifter.

Glickenhaus has been racing the competition-spec 004C for several years, and the lessons learned from it were used to create the road-going 004CS. Compared to the standard 004S, the 004CS sports a blown rear diffuser, center-locking wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, and bigger brakes. It also comes standard with a front suspension lift system.
The 004 is marketed as one of the most hardcore and driver-focused cars available now, so it’s no surprise that the interior is quite spartan and lacks some of the features you’d find in a comparable high-volume supercar. With that being said, it does feature air conditioning, power-adjustable seats, and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This dramatic gold example has been specced with a Momo Prototipo steering wheel clad in Alcantara and contrasted with several gold-painted parts, including the gauge cluster, the shifter, and the dedicated footrests for the two rear passengers.
Glickenhaus is selling the 004S and 004CS exclusively through HK Motorcars in Mount Kisco, New York. Prices start at a cool $450,000.
“The 004 embodies everything Glickhaus stands for. It’s a car that was designed to go racing first and foremost, but its conversion into a road-legal platform spared no concessions that would otherwise accompany your typical ‘racecar for the road.’ It’s truly a joy to drive and use every day,” HK Motorcars director of sales Nat Mundy commented at the car’s launch.
