• Mitsubishi has announced plans to launch the 2025 Outlander in the US on February 24.
  • Updated interior features include a redesigned center console, new colors, and Yamaha audio.
  • The facelifted crossover will gain subtle styling changes alongside a revised suspension system.

Mitsubishi introduced the facelifted Outlander in October and now the company has announced the crossover will celebrate its American debut on February 24. Deliveries are then slated to begin shortly thereafter.

While we already know what to expect, Mitsubishi is playing coy on specifics. As part of this effort, they released three images of the lightly revised interior. It’s instantly recognizable, but has an updated center console with repositioned cup holders.

Buyers will also find new interior colors and “upgraded features.” They’ll be joined by a Yamaha audio system as well as Mitsubishi’s first application of SiriusXM’s 360L satellite-streaming service. The company went on to say we can expect revised styling and improved driving dynamics.

We’ll learn full details early next year, but the US-spec model should echo the European variant. This means we can expect a lightly revised grille, updated lighting units, and a revised color palette. They should be joined by modified bumpers, more comfortable seats, and NVH improvements.

Bigger changes should occur under the skin as the plug-in hybrid variant has a larger 22.7 kWh battery pack as well as an upsized gas tank. We can also expect a revised suspension, new tires, and an increased output of 302 hp (225 kW / 306 PS).

The 2024 Outlander starts at $28,395 and is the brand’s best-selling vehicle in America. The company sold 11,138 units in the third quarter as well as an additional 2,279 plug-in hybrids. Speaking of the PHEV variant, it appears the updated version won’t arrive stateside until the 2026 model year.
