• BMW has increased boost pressure from the twin-turbo six, extracting 543 hp and 479 lb-ft.
  • Several model-specific parts come standard on the CS, including new wheels and a bespoke grille.
  • The hood, front splitter, front air intakes, wing mirror caps, and rear diffuser are made from carbon.

Shortly after several teasers were released, the BMW M3 CS Touring has officially premiered. The German marque has taken off the covers to the new family hauler in Australia on the eve of the Bathurst 12 Hours endurance race before global deliveries begin. Unfortunately, the new model will not be sold in the United States.

Much like the M3 CS sedan, the M3 CS Touring receives several performance improvements that promise to take the already alright estate to a new level. For starters, BMW has increased boost from the 3.0-liter six-cylinder’s two turbochargers to 30 psi, lifting total power up to 543 hp (405 kW) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque – a 20 hp gain over the standard M3 Competition.

Review: The 2025 BMW M4 Competition Is An Addictive Triumph Of Speed

Like the standard model, this engine works alongside an eight-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels. The M3 CS Touring needs just 3.5 seconds to dispatch the sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph) and runs to 200 km/h (124 mph) in a mere 11.7 seconds. It tops out at 300 km/h (186 mph) with the M Driver’s Package, fitted as standard.

Changes have also been made to the superb electronically-controlled dampers of the standard model, and a front-end struct brace increases body rigidity. There are also beefed-up brakes and the option of carbon ceramic discs. Ensuring the car sounds as good as an M car can is an exhaust with adjustable valves and a titanium rear silencer.

BMW has also focused extensively on reducing the weight of the car, stripping away 33 lbs (15 kg). Key new parts include a carbon fiber hood, front splitter, front air intakes, wing mirror caps, and rear diffuser. There are also new M light-alloy wheels measuring 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear.

The most obvious visual change is the new grille. While the kidneys remain just as the regular M3 and M4, they now sport a more open design with sharper surfaces. BMW has also given the LED daytime running lights a yellow tint as a nod to its motorsport pedigree. A new lip spoiler at the rear also catches the eye.
