• The Dodge Attitude gains a special edition, with a limited production of 300 units.
  • The Attitude GT Green Hornet is exclusively available in a Matte Olive Green shade.
  • The sporty sedan is a rebadged version of the GAC Empow for the Mexican market.

Dodge may not have a sedan in its US and Canadian lineups at the moment, but that doesn’t mean it’s entirely abandoned the category—at least not in Mexico (or later this year when the Charger sedan re-joins the range). The automaker has just unveiled the Dodge Attitude GT Green Hornet, a special edition limited to 300 units for the Mexican market.

While the Green Hornet might sound like it’s packing some extra punch, don’t hold your breath for any significant performance upgrades. The special edition is simply a rebadged version of the GAC/Trumpchi Empow, the Chinese sedan that’s already been on the market for a while. The only real change here is the addition of a new color.

As the name suggests, the Green Hornet is exclusively available in a Matte Olive Green. If this shade looks vaguely familiar, that’s because it’s nearly identical to the Shiny Fighter Green found on the GAC Empow R—just a bit more matte.

Other cosmetic upgrades include the 18-inch Satin Black wheels and the full LED headlights, which are lifted straight from the regular GT trim. The quad tailpipes and active exhaust system are also carried over, just in case you wanted the sound of performance without the actual performance. The fixed rear wing? Yep, that’s there too.

Inside, the Green Hornet doesn’t bring any surprises either. Aside from a few visual tweaks—like red stitching on the seats and a carbon-finish center console, it’s essentially the same as the regular Attitude GT. The leather-wrapped steering wheel, complete with a dedicated button for the active exhaust, remains intact, and the dual 10.25-inch screens continue to dominate the dashboard.

All Show, No Extra Go

Now, if you were hoping the Green Hornet would come with some extra horsepower to match its aggressive looks, prepare to be disappointed. This means that the turbocharged 1.5-liter gasoline engine produces the same 168 hp (125 kW / 170 PS) and 199 lb-ft (270 Nm) of torque as in the rest of the Attitude lineup. Still, the GAC-based model is certainly more potent than the previous generations, which were based on the Hyundai Accent and Mitsubishi Mirage G4.

The power is routed to the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which allows the car to hit 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 6.95 seconds. The suspension setup is also unchanged, with the familiar multi-link rear axle carrying over from the regular trim.

For context, the Chinese-spec GAC Empow R, the car that this is all based on, has a larger 2.0-liter engine, making a much more respectable 265 hp (198 kW / 269 PS). That’s paired with a sharper chassis setup and a performance-focused tuning job courtesy of ABT Sportsline. But don’t expect Dodge to suddenly release a performance version of the Attitude anytime soon, especially since this limited edition doesn’t even bother with a power bump.

Pricing and Availability

The Dodge Attitude Green Hornet edition is already available for order in Mexico, where it’s priced at 488,900 pesos (about $23,800). While Dodge claims that the GAC-based sedan has seen “remarkable sales growth” since its August 2024 introduction, they omit any hard sales figures.
