• One of these Bolides is owned by US real estate mogul Manny Khoshbin
  • The wild Bugatti is powered by a quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W16 with 1,578 hp.
  • Prices for the limited track-only special started at almost $5 million.

Four years ago, Bugatti unveiled the Bolide, an insane creation born as an experimental study. It was almost unthinkable that it would spawn a production model. However, Bugatti confirmed it would build 40 examples of the Bolide back in 2021, and just as 2024 wrapped up, some of the first have been handed over to customers in the US.

The first Bolide to touch down on US soil was a stunning example finished in a combination of black and blue, complete with several white accents. Despite the hypercar being worth almost $5 million, it didn’t take long for the owner to take it for a spin around the Circuit of the Americas just outside of Austin, Texas.

Most recently, noted car collector and real estate mogul Manny Khoshbin picked up the keys to his own Bolide with the help of Bugatti Newport Beach.

Khoshbin has opted for a slightly more understated configuration for his Bolide. Most of the aero-focused bodywork of the car is painted in gloss black but there are several bright blue accents, including on the roof scoop, the front tow book, and several pieces of branding that are painted blue. Large ‘EB’ logos on the end plates of the rear wing are also painted blue, as is the text that reads ‘W 16.4’ on the aerodynamic shark fin.

It appears the Bolide was rolling on its ‘delivery’ wheels and tires at the time. These are slightly smaller and narrower than the track-focused wheels and slick tires the track-only weapon also comes with, making it easier to maneuver at low speeds.

Powering the Bolide is Bugatti’s famous 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine, delivering 1,578 hp and 1,180 lb-ft (1,600 Nm) of torque. The car tips the scales at 3,196 lbs (1,450 kg) and promises brutal track performance beyond even the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport and Super Sport models.
