- Cadillac sales were up last year thanks to strong demand for the Escalade and Lyriq.
- The CT4 and CT5 experienced double digit declines as the luxury sedan segment was hit hard.

Lincoln isn’t the only one celebrating as Cadillac had its best year since 2016. The company sold 160,204 vehicles in America last year, which was an 8.8% increase from 2023.
The brand’s best-selling model was the Escalade, which received updated styling as well as an all-new interior with a 55-inch display. The facelifted SUV arrived late in the year, which helps to explain why sales were up 27.5% in the fourth quarter.

The Lyriq had a banner year as sales jumped 210.3% to 28,402 units. Cadillac said this made it the “best-selling electric mid-size luxury SUV” in America. Pricing starts at $58,595 and the lineup will soon be expanded to include an all-new Lyriq-V.
Speaking of EVs, the Escalade IQ recently arrived at dealers and customers have already snapped up 670 units. The Optiq and Vistiq will follow in the first quarter and this will give the brand an electric presence in every major luxury SUV segment.

While crossovers and SUVs performed well, sedans weren’t as lucky. CT5 sales plummeted 20.1% despite a recent facelift, which saw the model outfitted with revised styling and a 33-inch curved display.
However, the CT5’s 14,861 sales look pretty good when compared to the 7,478 sales generated by the Acura TLX. The latter model was down 55.6% and Acura has previously blamed the poor performance on a “significant reconfiguration of our Marysville auto plant,” although dealers have been sitting on months worth of inventory.
The CT4 fared even worse than the CT5 as sales were off 32.1% to 6,208 units. Cadillac wasn’t alone in seeing steep declines here either as Audi A3 sales fell 30% to 9,528 units.
