• The Coperche 811 GT-K by StanceMagic was among the highlights of the Tokyo Auto Salon.
  • The model is based on a first-gen Daihatsu Copen, with extensive visual modifications.
  • The result looks like a baby 911 RSR racecar, thanks to a wide bodykit and Porsche lights.

Buying a Porsche can be hard, as even its cheapest model, the 718 Cayman, is not what you’d call affordable. There is however an alternative way, and that is to find a used Daihatsu Copen and turn it into a mini 911 with the help of fiberglass.

The “Coperche 811 GT-K” debuted at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2025 last weekend, where it gathered loads of attention as one of the highlights. The one-off was created by Japanese company StanceMagic, which specializes on alloy wheels.

The build is based on the first-generation Daihatsu Copen, which was deemed as a suitable donor car for the conversion despite having the engine at the front and being an FWD-only affair. The exterior has received extensive modification in order to resemble a 911. In fact, only the front windshield, doors, mirrors, and A-pillars appear to have been carried over from the original.

The Porsche effect was achieved thanks to a fiberglass bodykit, including custom bumpers, wider front and rear fenders, and a completely redesigned tail and roofline. The highlight is the 997-style headlights and indicators, combined with GT3-style bumper intakes.

At the back, there is a pair of genuine Porsche 996 taillights and a massive rear wing for maximum downforce. We can also see a large diffuser with dual tailpipes, and vents which are purely decorative since the engine is mounted at the front. The interior has also been upgraded with a set of bucket seats, a roll cage, suede upholstery, and red inserts on the dashboard.

For an even greater wow-effect, the bodywork has been wrapped in a fancy livery, reminiscent of the mid-engined Porsche 911 RSR Le Mans racecar. Furthermore, the model rides on a custom set of StanceMagic alloy wheels shod in racing tires. As for modifications under the skin, the chassis of the Coperche 811 GT-K has been visibly lowered, and the braking system has been upgraded with new discs and calipers.

A post from the Tokyo Auto Salon on X suggests that the model is fitted with the larger 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine, while the interior shot reveals it is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. While it is nowhere near Porsche levels of performance, this setup sounds better compared to the 660cc engine of the Japanese-spec Copen which had to comply with kei car regulations.

The Coperche 811 GT-K will likely remain a one-off affair, although a search online reveals there are a few Porsche-inspired bodykits for the Daihatsu Copen you can actually buy.
