- Genesis’ EV-only UK lineup comprises the GV60, the Electrified GV70, and the Electrified GV80.
- The gas and diesel offerings are being offered from stock, but some are already selling out.
- Still, the company has confirmed that hybrid models will join the UK lineup in the future.
Genesis has axed all ICE-powered models from its UK lineup, with the goal of becoming a “fully electrified brand” within 2025. Setting aside the remaining stock of ICE offerings, the Korean brand has a range of three EVs, that will be joined by hybrids in the future.
Starting with the discontinued models, Genesis said that the G70 sedan, G70 Shooting Brake, GV70, and GV80 with gasoline and diesel powertrains are now sold from stock, although, according to the company, some of them are “already selling out”. Once these examples are gone, UK buyers will only have access to a trio of EVs.

The 2025 lineup of Genesis in the UK comprises the Electrified G80 sedan with the extended wheelbase (arriving in Q2 2025), the Electrified GV70 SUV (arriving mid-2025), and the GV60 crossover. All three have been recently facelifted, benefiting from styling, equipment, and battery upgrades.
Genesis has confirmed the launch of more EVs in the coming years, and its plan of entering new segments. One of the upcoming electric offerings will be the performance-focused GV60 Magma, which is expected to arrive in production form this fall.
Besides the EVs, the automaker will introduce models with hybrid technology in the UK market. This coincides with earlier comments by Mike Song, Global Head of Genesis, who confirmed plans of applying hybrid tech to “as many models as possible”, and bring them to market “as soon as possible”.
Jonny Miller, Brand Director for Genesis Motor UK, said: “We’re committed to responding to customer and market feedback, and we’re confident our transition to an electric range, joined by future hybrid models, is the right direction.”

The company recently announced it will compete at Le Mans with a LMDh prototype, with its motorsport involvement contributing to the development of future tech for production offerings.
Finally, Genesis shared its long-term plans for entering new markets in Europe, without getting into details about specific countries.
