A white Kia Forte made an unforgettable (and completely uninvited) entrance into Inspira Health Center Bridgeton in Bridgeton, New Jersey, late Tuesday evening, kicking off 2025 with a bang—literally. Police arrested 38-year-old Delaware resident April Love for the destructive joyride, which ended in handcuffs and a one-way ticket to the Cumberland County Jail.

Authorities reported that the Kia smashed through the hospital’s entrance doors around 11:30 p.m., leaving a chaotic scene that no one on staff likely had in their New Year’s plans.

Footage shared on Facebook captures the aftermath of the driver’s rampage, revealing a trail of destruction left in her wake. The Kia Forte didn’t just smash through the hospital’s large entrance doors, it also plowed roughly 60 feet down a hallway, leaving shattered glass scattered across the floor and walls badly damaged. The short video even shows the Forte’s rear window completely smashed, adding yet another layer of chaos to the already surreal scene.

Fortunately, no patients or hospital staff were injured during the chaos, though the Forte certainly put an end to any hopes of a quiet New Year’s Eve at the hospital. According to The Press of Atlantic City, a security guard sustained a minor injury after leaping out of the car’s path—a quick reaction that likely prevented a far worse outcome.

The entrance wrecked by the driver is usually used for ambulance drop-offs, and staff were forced to set up an alternate entrance due to the damage. Local media reports that ambulances were diverted until approximately 3:30 a.m. on January 1.

Police promptly arrested the woman and charged her with assault by a motor vehicle, endangering another person, and criminal mischief. They are still investigating the case, according to a hospital spokesperson.
