- Manhart pushes the BMW M240i to 496 hp, making it more powerful than the M2.
- Upgrades include a new intercooler, intake, and a 300-cell catalytic converter downpipe.
- Customization options let customers pick upgrades like a power box and a carbon diffuser.
While the BMW M240i may be the little brother to the popular M2, it still is an extremely potent performer for Manhart to simply ignore. We’ve seen the tuner work on the M240i before, but this bonkers blue example packs a truly almighty punch.
By adding a new intake manifold, an upgraded intercooler, a new downpipe with a 300-cell catalytic converter, a stainless steel exhaust, and its in-house ‘power box’, Manhart was able to extract no less than 496 hp and 464 lb-ft (633 Nm) of torque from the 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six, meaning this M240i is more powerful than the M2 and its “puny” 473 hp and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm).

Manhart didn’t reveal any acceleration figures but having xDrive all-wheel drive means it can probably keep up with an M4 and be quicker than the RWD-only M2 from a stand still.
Other upgrades include KW Variant 3 coilovers with adjustable rebound and compression settings, as well as beefed-up brakes. Customers who’d prefer to stick with the factory shocks can do so and order lowering springs instead.
This M240i has then been wrapped in a flamboyant blue and fitted with several exterior parts, including a carbon fiber splitter, a carbon diffuser, and a fixed rear wing. It also sits on gloss white wheels, measuring 20×9 at the front and 20×10.5 at the rear. Gloss black decals complete the exterior look.
Most of these upgrades can be purchased separately from Manhart, allowing owners to pick and choose what modifications they’d like. The power box is €1,185 (~$1,200), a 300-cell cat downpipe is €2,415 (~$2,500), and the Wagner intercooler costs as much as €590 (~$610).
