• The 911 GT3 RS had an MSRP of $242,250, but sold for $335,000 at an auction in 2022.
  • Despite being six years old, this hugely desirable Porsche has only been driven 478 miles.
  • Plenty of Guards Red accents throughout the interior perfectly match the outside.

Red is a color best associated with Ferrari, but this 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS wears it just as well as any car from Maranello. The track-focused weapon is up for grabs in Saint Augustine, Florida, and is no doubt one of the finest GT3 RSs you’ll find in the US.

The car is painted in Guards Red and is a highly-specced example that includes the desirable Weissach package. This includes new carbon composite anti-roll bars, a carbon fiber hood, and forged magnesium wheels with a stunning gold finish. A look at the window sticker reveals the 911 had an original MSRP of $242,250 when it landed in the US in January 2019.

This is the second time this particular car has been listed for auction at Bring a Trailer. In April 2022, it traded hands for $335,000, a huge premium over the MSRP. At the time, it had just 368 miles (592 km) on the clock and now, almost three years later, it shows a grand total of a mere 478 miles (769 km). It’s being sold with the owner’s manual, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.

The original owner specced out the car’s cabin just as nicely as the exterior. A pair of carbon fiber bucket seats stand out and are wrapped in black leather and Alcantara with red stitching and matching seatbelts. The gauges are also finished in Guards Red, as is the dashboard stopwatch, which comes with the Sport Chrono package.

While the new 992-generation 911 GT3 RS is quicker than this model, it’s arguably a little too extreme for the street, and not everyone loves the race car-inspired aerodynamic appendages. While the 991 version is still a head-turner, it’s a little more refined and could prove to be quite a collectible in the decades to come. Head on over to Bring a Trailer if you want to own this piece of Porsche history. At the time of writing, and with four days left in the auction, the highest bid stands at $154,000.
