- Singer is building just 75 examples of the screaming, lightweight 911-based DLS.
- This build is inspired by the Oppenheimer Blue diamond and features blue-tinted carbon fiber.
- Inside the cabin is a beautiful combo of Cream-colored leather and blue Alcantara.
One very rare Singer DLS will be auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s this month and is expected to sell for between $3.25 million and $3.7 million. To put that into perspective, that’s roughly the same as a new Aston Martin Valkyrie, and isn’t far off the $4+ million starting price of a Bugatti Tourbillon.
Singer has built some incredible Porsche 911-based models over the years, but none are as special as the DLS. That name stands for Dynamics and Lightweighting Study, brought to life through a partnership with Williams Advanced Engineering. It’s powered by a 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat-six with 500 hp and comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels.

Just 75 examples of the Singer DLS are being built, and this one is known as ‘The Oppenheimer Commission.’ It was named after the Oppenheimer Blue diamond and is finished in a gorgeous shade of Brilliant Blue Metallic from the Mercedes-Benz palette. The DLS then sits on a set of 18-inch BBS wheels made from magnesium. The original owner also specced the car with smoked taillights (at the cost of $18,000), and carbon fiber Porsche lettering on the decklid and trim across the front and rear bumpers.

All it takes is a look under the engine cover to prove just how special this car is. Stunning pieces of blue-tinted carbon fiber are found throughout, and the flat-six looks like a piece of art. It’s hardly a surprise then that this car has only been driven 120 km (75 miles) from new as even we’d be weary about getting that engine dirty.
The interior is also beautifully specced, as in pretty much each Singer DLS we have seen so far. Custom touches include a maple wood gearshift knob, cream leather on the seats, blue Alcantara on the steering wheel, and blue carbon fiber on the seat backs.
