- A virtually unused example of one of the most collectible Nissan Skylines is for sale.
- The R34 V Spec II Nür only has 225 miles on its odometer and is in perfect condition.
- It’s for sale in Japan for $485k but not eligible for road use in the US until 2027.
The final and the fastest of Nissan’s Skyline GT-R series, the R34 commands big respect and big money on the used market, particularly in the highly regarded, limited edition V Spec II Nür trim. Only 718 Nürs were built and they come up for sale now and again, but not many are like this one. It’s covered a jaw-dropping 225 miles (362 km) from new.
Named after the Germany’s Nürburgring race track, the Nür features a special RB26DETT engine, a race-bred inline-six modified with parts from the motorsport-spec N1 GT-R. It was rated at 276 hp (280 PS), though we all know the reality far exceeded that figure, and offered scope for tuners to really go to town.

Paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, ATTESA E-TS all-wheel-drive, and an active limited-slip differential, the Nür was the pinnacle of road-usable R34s, though model experts would argue that the even rarer M Spec Nür (only 285 made) with its ripple control dampers, leather interior and lower production numbers is more desirable.
We’ve only reported on one other Nür with fewer miles and that was a white car with just 6 miles (10km) under its wheels offered for sale in 2021. The mileage on this green car isn’t quite as low, but it is certified, and even if it wasn’t, the condition of the body and interior backs it up. Stored meticulously for 23 years, it’s a time capsule of second-era Nissan GT-R engineering at its peak.

The Millennium Jade paint gleams as though it just rolled off the line, while the interior shows no sign of wear. It even smells like a new car, the seller says, a testament to the car’s preservation.
Offered by specialist dealership JDM Expo this R34 is an incredible find, and one that comes with a price to match. Any Nür is going to cost you at least $200k, but this one is being advertized for $485,000 on account of its condition and unicorn status.
That puts this classic out of the reach of all but the most deep-pocketed collectors. And in the unlikely event that the new owner wants to use it, rather than simple drool over it, it’s worth pointing out that the 2002 build date means it won’t be eligible for importation to the US for road use until 2027.
