- The super SUV’s 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 has been upgraded to 760 hp.
- The extra power is accompanied by several carbon fiber parts and aero enhancements.
- ABT has also worked its magic on the RS Q8’s advanced suspension.
The Audi RS Q8 may not have the same appeal as a Lamborghini Urus, but the two super SUVs share a lot in common, including a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8. As such, many consider the Audi to offer far greater value for money than the Lamborghini. Now, tuner and racing outfit ABT Sportsline has made the RS Q8 even more special.
ABT has offered several different kits for Audi’s SUV over the years. Its latest package is known as the Legacy Edition and includes the aptly named Power R performance upgrade. This takes the RS Q8 from the standard 591 hp and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque to an almighty 760 hp and 723 lb-ft (980 Nm). That also gives it a healthy power advantage over the Lamborghini Urus, as it’s just 29 hp shy of the Urus SE plug-in hybrid.

Complementing the power boost is a new stainless steel exhaust system with 4-inch (105 mm) quad tailpipes. Lamborghini has done a fine job of making the Urus sound better than the RS Q8 from the factory, so it’s possible ABT’s new exhaust will allow the German SUV to usurp its Italian sibling in the sound department.
Other upgrades include the Audi’s suspension, with the fitment of ABT’s new electronic roll stabilization system (eAWS), which works alongside the ABT Level Control (ALC) electronic air suspension.

No ABT model would be complete without some visual upgrades, and the RSQ8 Legacy Edition has plenty of them. This includes several matte carbon fiber accents across the front fascia, like the splitter, and on the hood. ABT has also added new side skirts and a thoroughly revised rear fascia with a new spoiler and diffuser. A set of 23-inch wheels with Black spokes
Completing the upgrades are some fancy interior pieces, including carbon fiber paddle shifters as well as carbon accents on the dashboard, gear shifter, and seat frame covers.
Pricing details haven’t been announced, but if a Lamborghini Urus doesn’t quite do it for you, the RSQ8 Legacy Edition might be perfect.
