- The first example of Mercedes’ limited-run SL63 Manufaktur Golden Coast has arrived in the US.

The latest addition to Mercedes-AMG’s high-performance convertible lineup has arrived: the 2025 SL63 Manufaktur Golden Coast. This limited-run special follows in the footsteps of the SL63 Manufaktur Big Sur, landing about 18 months after its predecessor. Production is capped at just 100 units worldwide, and while U.S. pricing remains under wraps, expect it to command a premium over the standard model.
Mercedes-Benz says “gleaming golden sand beaches” have inspired the Manuktur Kalahari Gold Magno paint adorning the special SL. This shade is a bit more subtle than the Orange Flame Metallic of the Big Sur edition and suits the classy SL63 absolutely perfectly. Contrasting the paint are a set of 21-inch AMG Forged Cross-Spoke wheels painted in black with matching Kalahari Gold Magno accents.

Plenty of normally optional equipment comes as standard on the SL 63 Manufaktor Golden Coast. These include the AMG Night Package, AMG Extended Night Package, and the AMG Aerodynamics Package. Key parts of the car, including the grille, tailpipes, model badge, and the Mercedes badge at the rear, have a black chrome finish.

A Special Cabin
It’s not just the exterior that’s special, as plenty of unique touches have been made to the cabin. For example, the AMG Performance seats are wrapped in hand-stitched black Nappa leather, and golden stitching continues across the steering wheel, armrest, center door panels, and instrument panel. There are also plenty of Kalahari Gold Magno accents and a special ‘Manufaktur Golden Coast’ badge on the center console.
While the special edition SL is not based around the flagship SL 63 S E Performance, its 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 still delivers an impressive 577 hp and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. This engine is mated to a nine-speed transmission and a 4Matic+ fully variable all-wheel drive system, allowing the car to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.5 seconds.
