- McLaren celebrates its 2024 F1 Constructors’ Championship with the MCL38 specials.
- Only 18 units of the MCL38 editions will be produced, split between the Artura and 750S.
- The special editions feature a bespoke livery combining Papaya Orange and Anthracite colors.
McLaren is the second most successful team in Formula 1, behind only Ferrari. Yet, despite winning the 2008 Drivers’ championship with Lewis Hamilton, it had to endure a 26-year drought since its last Constructors’ title in 1998.
This ended last season when Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri helped it emerge as F1’s top team in the final standings. It marked a rather surprising, and at the same time refreshing for the sport, resurgence after many years in the midfield while Mercedes and Red Bull dominated the grid.

In order to celebrate that success, McLaren has launched a very limited edition of the Artura and the 750S. Named MCL38, after the 2024 F1 racing car, it will be produced in a mere 18 units, split evenly between the two supercars.
Both models feature a bespoke livery by McLaren Special Operations, which combines the F1 team’s Papaya Orange and Anthracite colors. Moreover, they sport a Champions’ Laurel and ‘Nine-Star’ logo, as well as an orange bonnet stripe with a Champions’ Laurel and orange brake calipers.

The interior of the two MCL38 Celebration Editions is just as striking, thanks to the Visual Carbon Fiber Extended Sill Cover on the driver’s side that’s been signed by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri and the Champions’ Laurel on the seat headrest section.
What’s more, each of the nine special 750S models comes with a MCL38 dedication plaque that incorporates a genuine piece of carbon fiber bodywork from an MCL38 F1 car, while another plaque, this time in the bonnet storage area, lists the pole positions, race wins and fastest laps recorded by the MCL38 during the 2024 season.

“The relentless pursuit of excellence is intrinsic to the McLaren mindset and in 2024 we demonstrated this with incredible success on both the track and the road,” said McLaren Automotive CEO Michael Leiters. “The achievements of Zak Brown, Andrea Stella, Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri and the entire McLaren Racing team in winning the Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship are beyond inspirational – and what better way to mark this than with an ultra-exclusive Celebration Edition of our award-winning Artura and 750S.”

With a major change in Formula 1 regulations coming in 2026, teams have focused their resources into developing next year’s cars. This means that this year’s cars will essentially be updated versions of the 2024 racers.
Thus, unless Ferrari, which was McLaren’s closest rival last year, or Red Bull, which may have won the Drivers’ championship with Max Verstappen but had a notable drop in performance during the season, spring a surprise, the Woking-based team should, once again, be in the fight for both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ championships.
