- The Nissan 350Z features Maserati headlights and a custom-designed front bumper.
- For as impressive as the exterior of the sports car is, the interior isn’t quite so nice.
- It’s unclear if this 350Z has received any mechanical upgrades to the 3.5L V6 engine.
Replicas of high-end cars are a dime a dozen. Some manage to pull it off without completely embarrassing themselves, while others make you wonder if the builders have ever seen a real car up close. This unique Nissan 350Z, which is a mash-up of a Maserati GranTurismo and a Porsche 911, is an odd creation that, in our eyes at least, looks oddly fascinating.

We first stumbled across this oddball all the way back in 2018, and it’s still kicking around today—alive, well, and as our editor discovered, up for sale if you’ve got the cash and are interested. It currently lives in Japan, and to anyone but the most astute enthusiast, it almost looks like a one-off sports car from a start-up. Indeed, the only indication that this is actually a 350Z are the door skins and the roofline – every other exterior part has been changed.
A Maserati Meets Porsche Mash-Up
The original headlights have been swapped out for units from an old Maserati GranTurismo, giving the front end an unmistakable Italian touch. Along with those, the grille has been replaced with something more Maserati-esque, and, of course, it’s rocking the Trident badge. The bumper looks like a bespoke creation and includes sizeable air intakes and LED DRLs. A custom bonnet has also been crafted and features a dizzying number of air extractors and two NACA ducts.
But it’s not all Maserati as the rear end takes a page from Porsche’s book. Flared wheel arches have been added to both the front and rear, paired with custom side skirts. The rear end shares almost nothing with the front and features parts straight from a 911, including the taillights and badge. The photos also reveal quad tailpipes and an intricate diffuser.
For as neat as the exterior of the car looks like, the same can’t be said of the cabin. It has been re-trimmed in black and red leather and Alcantara with custom stitching and graphics. There’s also a thumping audio system with twin amplifiers and subwoofers.
If you’re intrigued by this Frankenstein’s monster of a car, it’s currently up for sale on Yahoo auctions. The starting bid is 2,500,000 yen (roughly $16,600), with a “buy it now” price of 3,500,000 yen, or about $23,300. For that price, you’ll be getting a car with what appears to be the stock 3.5-liter V6 that’s clocked in at 89,000 km (around 55,300 miles), so it’s definitely seen some road time.
